Indonesian national mountain bike coach for the SEA Games has been arrested by the police for possession of drugs.
Ferry Sonic, a former national mountain biker in the 1990s,was found with 0.2 grams of syabu in a hotel in Pulomas, Pulogadong in East Jakarta last Friday.
The is the second time that Ferry has been found in possession of syabu. He was also arrested for a similar offence in 2008.
Indonesia are expected to be a major power in the mountain bike event at the SEA Games with Tiara Andini Prastika and Khoiful Mukhib, both Asian Games gold medallists in the women and men downhill events respectively.
It is certain that Ferry would be dropped from the SEA Games coaching line-up. Bandi Sugito is expected to take over the task of looking after the team.
