Fourth seeded Darren Rahul Pragasam was the only top four seed to fail to make the cut into the semi-finals of the SRAM PSA, a Challenger Squash event earlier today.
Elvinn Keo denied the 21-year-old a place in the last four with a 5-11, 11-7, 2-11, 11-4, 11-7 win in their quarter-final tie.
The win earned Elvin a meeting against second seed Mohammad Syafiq Kamal in the semi-finals. Syafiq was in total control over his quarter-final opponent Adam Agan, paksing off his rival 11-2, 11-7,11-2.
Top seed Ivan Yuen overcame a tricky Siow Yee Xian 11-8, 11-5, 11-8 and will be up against Addeen Idrakie in the semi-finals.
In the women’s competition, both the top two seeds – Low Wee Wern and Rachel Arnold are also cruising to a possible final appearance.
In the quarter-finals, Wee Wern picked up a commanding 11-3, 11-2, 11-3 win over Aika Azman while Rachel defeated Chan Yiwen 11-5, 11-7, 11-3.
Wee Wern will play Ooi Kah Yan in the semi-finals while Rcahel is up against Aifa Azman.
