The 10th edition of the ASEAN Para Games in the Philippines, will no longer take place from January 18 to 24, 2020 as originally scheduled.
The Philippines ASEAN Para Games Organising Committee (PHILAPGOC) has confirmed that the Games would now be held from March 20 to 28.
The postponement of the Games was made due to funding constraints and logistical considerations.

The change of dates has been relayed to the ASEAN Para Sports Federation as well as the participating countries.
The Games had attracted a total of 1533 athletes and 829 officials from all 11 nations. Competition for the 19 sports were expected to be held in three main clusters in New Clark City, Subic and Manila.
The Games also offers qualification points for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
The new dates would throw the preparation of the para athletes into a disarray with all participating countries likely to completely change their training programmes. It would also increase the pre-event budget of all teams.
